We present here the main features of a Ray-Born modelling and quantita
tive migration in 3-D heterogeneous isotropic media, where both P-to-P
and P-to-S diffraction modes are investigated. Starting from Beylkin'
s general formalism, we propose a monoparameter formula which is appro
priate for migrating single gathers (common receiver or common source)
. We explain how to take the S-wave polarization into account when mig
rating P-to-S waves. Finally, we present an application restricted to
an acoustic 3-D synthetic data set.
