Abstract
We have performed high resolution EUV spectroscopy on the Ne8+ + H-2 s ystem at 80keV impact energy. New transitions have been identified. Th e analysis is supported by extensive theoretical calculations. A detai led picture of the decay path of the doubly excited Ne6+ states popula ted in double electron transfer processes is of importance for the bas ic understanding of the collision dynamics and for charge exchange bas ed diagnostic techniques in fusion experiments.
