Abstract
A crossed beam technique incorporating time-of-flight analysis and coi ncidence counting of the collision products has been used to measure c ross sections for O+,O-2(+) and O2+ formation by electron capture in c ollisions of 5-7 ke V amu(-1) He2+ ions with ground state O atoms and O-2 molecules for the first time.
