Abstract
A taxonomic revision of Podostemaceae in the Republic of Argentina is presented with keys to genera and species, full descriptions, observat ions, geographic distributions and illustrations. Five genera and 13 s pecies are recognized: Apinagia (A. yguazuensis Chodat et Vischer), Mo urera (Mourera aspera (Bong.) Tul.), Podostemum (P. aguirense Chodat e t Vischer, P. atrichum Chodat et Vischer, P. comatum Hicken, P. muller i Warm., P. ostenianum Warm., P. rutifolium Warm., P. schenckii Warm., P. undulatum P. Royen var. undulatum, P. uruguayense Warm.), Tristich a (T. trifaria (Bory ex Willd.) Spreng.) and Wettsteiniola (W. apipens is Tur). (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
