Abstract
This paper presents a survey into the role of radiation therapy in the treatment of advanced gallbladder cancer and provides information on the radiobiological aspects for combining surgery and radiation therap y. This treatment modality has resulted in improved median survival ti me even in patients with stage IV disease when it was applied to micro scopic post-resection residue.
