Recently proposed and studied new concepts of relevance to the phenome
na of aggregation and self-coiling are reviewed. Ideas and studies on
ESAg ( electrostatically stabilized aggregate ) and deAgr ( deaggregat
or ) are described. Measurement of coaggregating tendencies of the cul
prits of arteriosclerosis has led to the discovery of a neighboring-mo
iety-assisted chain-foldability effect.
