The melting behaviour of the systems MgO-PuO2-x and Al2O3-PuO2-x were
studied using the CALPHAD method. According to the results of the phas
e diagram calculations, the temperature at which a liquid starts to fo
rm, ranges from 2341 to 2503 K for the system MgO-PuO2-x, and from 204
9 to 2183 K for the system Al2O3-PuO2-x, when the oxygen content of Pu
