A second borehole, entirely cored was drilled in the western border of
the South East Basin of France on the upthrown side of the Uzer fault
. Beneath a reduced Jurassic series, 283 m of Triassic and 563 m of Pe
rmian and Carboniferous were drilled. In contrast to those of the Bala
zuc borehole, located on the downdip block of the Uzer fault, Triassic
and Liassic reservoirs are less cemented, contain oil impregnations a
nd more varied sulphides. The Paleozoic contains also sulphides. Sever
al waterfloods were sampled.
