N. Nishizawa et al., EFFECT OF GUIDED ACOUSTIC-WAVE BRILLOUIN-SCATTERING ON PULSED SQUEEZING IN OPTICAL FIBERS WITH NONLINEARITY AND DISPERSION, Optical review, 4(4), 1997, pp. 453-458
Quadrature squeezed light generation with optical pulses in a fiber lo
op mirror is analyzed through computer simulation. The effect of guide
d acoustic wave Brillouin scattering (GAWBS) in optical fibers as well
as those of nonlinearities and chromatic dispersions are considered f
or the first time. The relation between the GAWBS noise and the optica
l pulse width is discussed in detail. It is found that the nearly fund
amental soliton pulse is optimum to get the largest squeezing even ii
the GAWBS noise is effective. The broadened pulses suffer larger degra
dation of squeezing due to this noise.
