Abstract
Although the need for collaboration among those who have knowledge and expertise about student seaming is dear, a number of factors can make collaboration difficult. These factors include teachers' beliefs abou t themselves and others, professional isolation, and weak collaboratio n skills. This article offers suggestions for what teachers can do to overcome these barriers to collaboration.
