Abstract
Pelvic organ prolapse is a common gynecologic condition, yet until rec ently no standard classification system to describe prolapse existed, A validated and standardized terminology system is now in use that all ows accurate description of physical findings as well as meaningful co mmunication between clinicians and comparisons of published series.
