Abstract
Compounds analogous to 1,3-oxazine viz 2H-1,3-benzoxazine were prepare d by condensation of salicylaldehyde and substituted salicylaldehydes with ammonium acetate and ethanol at 0 degrees C-5 degrees C. The fung icidal effects of these compounds on fungi such as Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Candida sp., Penicillium fellutamum and Mucor sp. were studied.
