Based on a grid transformation method, the temperature and solidificat
ion behaviour in the substrate and deposit for the spray forming proce
ss of metals has been simulated. Numerical results will be compared wi
th experimental data of temperature measurements in the deposit and su
bstrate. Some limitations of this model will be outlined.
