Driving simulation using the motion equations based on the 3-dimension
al dynamic model of the rubber crawler traction system was performed u
nder various conditions. The location arrangement of track rollers was
estimated through the experimental results and driving simulation. Co
mponents of vibrational acceleration of the rubber crawler traction sy
stem with 6 degrees of freedom could be measured individually and accu
rately using the new measuring method proposed by the authors. Accurac
y of translational components of vibrational acceleration improved rem
arkably compared with the conventional measuring method. Motion equati
ons and frequency transfer function of a riding tractor with rotary ti
llage equipment were proposed. Simulated data of frequency response we
re compared with measured data of forced vibration experiment to deter
mine the validity for tractor's dynamic model.
