Ma. Agirbasli et al., RESOLUTION OF VEGETATIONS WITH ANTICOAGULATION AFTER MYOCARDIAL-INFARCTION IN PRIMARY ANTIPHOSPHOLIPID SYNDROME, Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, 10(8), 1997, pp. 877-880
We report here a case of primary antiphospholipid syndrome with all th
ree clinical features with acute myocardial infarction. Echocardiograp
hy showed large vegetations at both mitral valve leaflets. Laboratory
evaluation showed presence of antiphospholipid antibodies. High-intens
ity anticoagulation was begun, and repeat echocardiographic study in 4
months showed disappearance of the mitral valve vegetations.
