Abstract
We addressed the strategies of mapping protein binding sites on a DNA fragment by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The protein binding site wa s uniquely mapped by distinguishing two termini of a linear DNA fragme nt. Our simple methods were found very useful to get information on tr anscription regulatory regions by taking advantage of long range and q uick scanning by AFM.
