The absolute configuration of pectenotoxin-6 (4, PTX6), found in assoc iation with diarrhetic shellfish poisoning, was identified by NMR spec troscopy using a chiral anisotropic reagent, phenylglycine methyl este r (PGME), which was condensed with a carboxyl group of 4.
