Abstract
This paper deals with a special field of the second-law analysis: the exergy method and analysis. The concept of exergy has been included in textbooks of engineering thermodynamics worldwide. Nevertheless, the application of exergy in investigations of industrial processes is sti ll unsatisfactory. As a result of this, there are many incorrect discu ssions in the field of energy saving. In order to improve this situati on this paper presents some possibilies for the application of exergy and for the correct discussion of their results.
