Abstract
In this paper the learning knowledge and strategy of a generic neuro-e xpert system(GENUES) architecture for training neural networks in an a larm processing system is described. The GENUES architecture forms an important part of an integrated architecture used for developing a rea l-time alarm processing system in a regional power system control cent re. We also report on some of the important implementation issues rela ted to alarm processing.
