ORTHOGONAL ARRAY DESIGNS FOR THE OPTIMIZATION OF SOLID-PHASE EXTRACTION

A systematic approach based on orthogonal array designs for the optimi zation of solid-phase extraction (SPE) is described. As an example, an off-line SPE approach for extracting 30 pesticides from water was opt imized based on the examination of the relevant parameters by orthogon al array designs. The advantages and the disadvantages of the method a re discussed.
