Abstract
Polycrystalline samples of zirconium 702 having very different initial textures are deformed in plane strain compression at ambient temperat ure with strains up to 40 %. It is shown experimentally that activatio n of deformation mechanisms and texture evolutions depend highly on gr ain orientation. The digital simulations made with the self-consistent model developed by Lebensohn Tome are compared with the experience in terms of activation of mechanisms and textures evolutions.
