H. Francillette et al., ACTIVE MECHANISMS AND TEXTURE EVOLUTIONS OF ZR-ALPHA POLYCRYSTALLINE SAMPLES DEFORMED BY CHANNEL-DIE COMPRESSION TESTS AT ROOM-TEMPERATURE, Revue de métallurgie, 94(9), 1997, pp. 1071
Polycrystalline samples of zirconium 702 having very different initial
textures are deformed in plane strain compression at ambient temperat
ure with strains up to 40 %. It is shown experimentally that activatio
n of deformation mechanisms and texture evolutions depend highly on gr
ain orientation. The digital simulations made with the self-consistent
model developed by Lebensohn Tome are compared with the experience in
terms of activation of mechanisms and textures evolutions.
