Variability of production of all tested ligninolytic enzymes (laccase,
peroxidase and manganese-dependent peroxidase) was substantially high
er in isolates derived from basidiospores of strain F6 of the white-ro
t basidiomycete Pleurotus ostreatus than the relatively low variabilit
y of the dikaryotic mycelial colonies of this strain, and also higher
than the variability of protoplast-derived isolates of the same strain
. The difference was caused mainly but not completely by the monokaryo
tic nature of the isolates. To reach the best fructification of the fu
ngus, two fructification media were chosen from twenty two tested and
a modified technique of fructification was used.
