Abstract
The oxidation of HCOOH at Au electrode in sulfuric acid solution was i nvestigated using the electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQC M). The potentiodynamic mass responses in HCOOH-containing solution we re compared to that in the background solution. This comparison provid ed valuable information on the mechanism of HCOOH oxidation. The effec t of the potential scan rate on the current peak corresponding to oxid e reduction was also discussed. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
