Abstract
We report unusual behavior of the low-temperature thermopower of noneq uilibrium Al1-xSix substitutional solid solutions. The thermopower and resistivity results suggest that the low-temperature anomalies of the se parameters are likely due to electron-phonon interaction enhancemen t in the vicinity of the fcc lattice instability in these superconduct ors.
