Nonpolar hydrocarbons, being at low temperatures in a glass state, are
the 'classic' model system to study nonpolar organic molecules radiol
ysis peculiarities due to their accessibility to investigations by opt
ic and electric methods. Presently a great deal of experimental data h
as been collected for the hydrocarbon glasses, what permits one to mak
e some quantitative estimations of applicability of various theories.
Between these substances 3-methylpentane takes up a special place. In
the review the recombination, polarisation and separation of electron-
ion pairs generated by ionising radiation. Bibliography - 163 referenc
