Abstract
In this paper a flexible on-chip multisensor signal processing ASIC is proposed supporting a straightforward and economic configuration of s mart microsystems. This ASIC admits the processing of sensor data and the data transfer via a field bus. The design on system level and the use of in-house hardware description language (HDL) cores and macrocel ls guarantees a wide range of applications. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
