Abstract
Many sensors translate a physical quantity into an impedance, Examples are chemical sensors with a dedicated sensitive layer that changes wi th the concentration of the interesting species. The concentration of ethanol/gasoline mixtures, however, fan be directly analysed by the pe rmittivity of the fluid mixture. The impedance may be analysed with di fferent methods. This paper presents a new method for impedance analys is that has been designed with the idea of mixed-signal integration in mind. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
