Md. Bondarkov et al., PK-A-GAMMA ALPHA-GAMMA-RADIOMETER BASED ON A GSO SCINTILLATOR TO MONITOR AM-241 AND OTHER TRANSURANIUM RADIONUCLIDES, Instruments and experimental techniques, 40(4), 1997, pp. 547-549
An PK-A Gamma alpha-gamma-radiometer based on a GSO scintillator is de
scribed. A new method of signal processing is used for monitoring tran
suranium radionuclides. Specific activity of Am-241 is measured in 50-
cm(3) samples in the range of 2-10 000 Bq/kg, and surface activity of
transuranium radionuclides is measured in flat samples in the range of
1-10 000 Bq/specimen for the ratio of Cs-137/Am-241 activities up to
similar to 10(3). The relative measurement error is within 20%.
