Abstract
The possibilities of a new diagnostics technique - speckle-photography - in the studies of 3D turbulent flows are analyzed. It is shown that statistical characteristics of 3D turbulent flow correlate with stati stical characteristics of 2D field of refractive index of the light ha ving passed through the flow. The sensitivity range of the speckle-pho tography proved to be quite enough for the temperature fluctuations re cording.
