THE EFFECT OF HOST-PLANT PLASMON ON ADAPT ABILITY OF PUCCINIA-TRITICINA ERIKSS

The long-term coevolution of leaf rust isolates with wheat intraspecif ic cytoplasm substitution lines have been studied Under laboratory con ditions. Triticum aestivum cytoplasm was shown to take part in adaptat ion of Puccinia triticina Erikss. It manifests itself in selection of more adapted fungus genotypes which arise spontaneously during long pa thogen reproductions. The data obtained allow a decision to be made co ncerning the host-plant plasmon influence on the formation of phytopat hogen population structure.
