Abstract
The map of general seismic zoning of the Byelorussian and Baltic regio n was compiled on the basis of the revealed zones of possible earthqua ke centre emergence (ECE) and evaluation of their seismotectonic poten tial. Force-seven vibration zones correspond to ECE zones with the mag nitude M-max not below 4,0. The force-seven zones are isolated all ove r the Estonia area, in east and southeast Latvia, south-east Lithuania and in Belarus within linear sites adjoining Oshmyany, Severo-Pripyat , and Loev active fractures, as well as the fragment of the submeridio nally active zone eastwards Bobruisk. The central part of Belarus with in the Minsk ECE zone consisting of 4 subzones is attributed to the ar ea of force-six vibration. The greater portion of Pripyat paleorhift, as well as sites in the east of Belarus within Chashniki and Orsha ECE zones is classified among the above-mentioned areas.
