The scaling behavior of the effective activation energy of high-qualit
y epitaxial c-oriented HgBa2CaCu2O6+delta thin films has been studied
as functions of temperature and magnetic field. It has been found that
the effective;activation energy scales as U-e(T,H) = U-0(1-T/T-c)H-m(
alpha) with exponent m = 1.10 +/- 0.04 which is similar to that of the
Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8/TI2Ba2CaCu2O8 systems, while the field scaling 1/H (alp
ha = 1) is the same as that of the YBa2CU3O7-delta system. Our results
suggest the following: (1) The temperature dependence of U-e is not n
ecessarily correlated with the field dependence, but it might be gover
ned by the dimensionality of the material, and (2) the field dependenc
e might not be directly associated with the dimensionality of the mate
rial.
