INFLUENCE OF PINUS-SYLVESTRIS L ON THE ST RUCTURE OF PLANT COVER IN YOUNG TREE STANDS OF THE KOLA NORTH UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF ATMOSPHERIC-POLLUTION

Specific structural features of young recovering pine stands subject t o industrial atmospheric pollution are considered in the Kola North. I t was shown that with the approach lo the source of atmospheric pollut ion the edificatory influence (estimated by the value eta2) of the pin e weakens: it falls from 0.13 in communities unaffected by the atmosph eric pollution to 0.07 in decaying coenoses. The degree of interaction between plants of the lower layers, as well as the character of their interactions change unambiguously.
