Abstract
An improved HPLC procedure for quantitative determination of the alkan nin derivative naphthaquinones, beta,beta-dimethylacrylalkannin (I), t eracrylalkannin (II) and isovalerylalkannin (III)+alpha-methyl-n-butyl alkannin (IV), contained in Arnebia densiflora roots and extracts was introduced. This procedure, as the mainstay of the study, enabled sepa ration of the compounds within only 12 min on a reversed-phase column. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
