The scattering of plane electromagnetic waves from circular cross-sect
ion cylinders, longitudinally corrugated to realize anisotropic struct
ures, is analyzed. The solution is devised at oblique incidence and fo
r an arbitrary polarization of the incident wave using a rigorous Floq
uet modal expansion of the field, The implementation of the procedure
is discussed with emphasis to its numerical efficiency.
