Abstract
A Portuguese Man-O'-War Physalia physalis was discovered during March 1995 on the shore of the Cotentin (Manche, Normandy), at Querqueville near Cherbourg (France). The observation is discussed in relation to f ormer strandings of this species reported from the French Atlantic coa st, the French and English coasts of the English Channel, and the Fren ch and Belgian coasts of the North Sea.
