A LiNbO3 optical parametric oscillator (OPO) pumped at 930 nm shows a
wide phase-matching curve. Each pulse produced by the OPO has a very b
road natural linewidth, from 1480 to 1800 nm for the signal and from 1
950 to 2550 nm for the idler. The emission wavelength is controlled th
anks to an electrically tunable Fabry-Perot interferometer inserted in
to the OPO cavity. The signal wavelength is electrically tuned in the
range 1450-1850 nm without crystal rotation. (C) 1997 Optical Society
