Abstract
The terms ''climate'' (physical and chemical), ''climate element'' (po tential and effective), ''climate factor'', ''climatic factor'', ''flu x densities of energy, momentum and matter'', ''stress'', ''stressor'' , ''strain'', ''absorbed stressor dose'', ''stress resistance'' and '' stress tolerance'' are explained and compiled to form a consistent cor pus of definitions that is compatible with the terminologies of physic s, micrometeorology and toxicology.
