Abstract
The structure of cis-PdCl2(dcpe), where dcpe is 1,2-bis(dicyclohexylph osphino)ethane, [PdCl2(C26H48-P2)], consists of an approximately squar e planar Pd(II) ion coordinated by a chelating dcpe ligand and two Cl- ions. The coordination sphere of the Pd shows a slight tetrahedral di stortion. A significant trans influence of the dcpe ligand on the Pd-C l distances is evident.
