Abstract
The crystal structure of tris(dipyridinium) dodecatung-stophosphate ha s been determined. The [PW12O40]3- heteropolyanion, having T(d) symmet ry, is disordered by the 3 symmetry. The pyridine molecules are paired around H+ forming (C5H5N)-H+-(NC5H5) cations with their molecular pla nes almost parallel to the ab plane of the crystal.
