Abstract
The unit cell obtained through X-ray single crystal analysis of the sy nthetized CuCa2(HCOO)(6) crystals corresponds to a supercell of the ba sic structure described by M. Sanchis et al, (Inorg. Chem. 31, 2915 (1 992)), Thermal decomposition of this sample shows two stages up to 300 degrees C; the first can be related to the superstructure, and the se cond corresponds to the breaking down of the remaining copper formate structural units and the simultaneous decomposition of the sample.
