Abstract
A new forward array has been designed and constructed using silicon te chnology. The detectors telescopes are Si followed by CsI that are rea d out by photodiodes. This combination allows for isotopic resolution through Z = 6. The special edge-mounting of the silicon detector combi ned with the ring-like structure of the overall array has allowed for a design that minimizes dead area. PACS: 29.40Mc; 29.40Wk.
