Abstract
In this study, the correlations between noradrenaline, dopamine and ser otonin with substance P are investigated in the cerebrospinal fluid fr om healthy subjects and the patients with Parkinson's disease, multipl e sclerosis, cerebrovascular disorders, tuberculous and aseptic mening itis. The accumulated results showed linear relationships of substance P with the levels of noradrenaline, dopamine and serotonin in healthy subjects as well as in all patient groups. The results can be utilize d in the understanding of cotransmission between amines and neuropepti de and the results could be taken into consideration prior to the desi gning of therapeutic approach.
