T. Yoshida et al., DEVELOPMENT OF PROCESS TECHNOLOGIES FOR PLASTIC-FILM SUBSTRATE SOLAR-CELLS, Solar energy materials and solar cells, 48(1-4), 1997, pp. 383-391
Process technologies developed for plastic-film substrate solar cells
have been studied. The solar cells have a monolithic series-connected
structure named ''SCAF'' and are fabricated by a developed fabrication
process based on roll-to-roll systems. The fabricated cells are encap
sulated using a newly developed roll-to-roll vacuum laminator. Pilot p
roductions for SCAF cells are carried out and reproducibility of the p
rocess is confirmed. The details of the processes are presented and th
e advantages of them are discussed.
