Abstract
Allozyme variation was used to investigate the genetic structure of St rangomera bentincki, from samples coming from the fishery zone of San Antonio, Talcahuano and Puerto Montt. The average heterocigozity per l ocus and per individual was 0,062. The Wright' fixative index for meas urement the amount of genetic differentiation between localities, show ed a maximum value of 0,029 and a minimum of 0,006, indicating high ho mogeneity between the samples. A dendrogram that represents the geneti c distance, shows a tendency to separate samples coming from Puerto Mo ntt to those of Talcahuano and San Antonio.
