Ll. Gumanov et al., SEPARATION OF C-60 AND C-70 FULLERENES ON SILICA MODIFIED BY POLYAROMATIC AND PI-ACID AROMATIC-COMPOUNDS, Russian chemical bulletin, 46(8), 1997, pp. 1480-1482
Separation of C-60 and C-70 fullerenes by HPLC was studied using sorbe
nts synthesized by reaction of perylenedicarboxylic anhydride, dimetho
xyviolanthrene, the tetramer of chromotropic acid with formaldehyde (T
CA), trinitrobenzoyl chloride, or chlorotrinitrobenzene with gamma-ami
nopropyl silica. These sorbents possess satisfactory chromatographic p
roperties. The sorbent based on TCA is effective for separation of pre
parative amounts of fullerenes.
