Ai. Marshakov et Ve. Ignatenko, ELECTROCHEMICAL-BEHAVIOR OF IRON IN ACID-MEDIA CONTAINING HYDROXYLAMINE, Russian journal of electrochemistry, 33(10), 1997, pp. 1072-1080
Kinetic regularities pertaining to electroreduction of hydroxylamine a
nd dissolution of iron are studied in acid sulfate electrolytes. The a
nodic process rate is found to depend on the velocity and nature of pr
oton donors of the cathodic reaction. The dependence is explained in t
erms of chemical conjugation of electrode reactions through a stage in
which anodic-active species form during the hydroxylamine reduction.
