Abstract
Raman spectra of C60 films on gold and silicon substrates have been ta ken over the frequency range 200-3200 cm-1. Besides two A(g) and eight H(g) fundamental frequency modes, 16 weak peaks are observed. Accordi ng to the selection rules of overtone and combination bands, most of t hem are attributed to the second-order Raman spectra of C60 molecules. A comparison of experimental results with theoretical predictions sho ws satisfactory agreement.
