The nonlinear response of YBa2Cu3O7 samples to intense pulsed microwav e fields is discussed. The main results on second-harmonic and third-h armonic emission by ceramic and single crystal samples are reported an d the mechanisms which give rise to the nonlinear emission are analyze d.
