The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) at different heating rates
was used to gain some insight into the thermal stability and calorime
tric behaviour of the three-component tellurite silver vanadate glasse
s of the (TeO2)(50)-(V2O5)(50-x)-(Ag2O)(x), where x = 20, 22.5, 25, 27
.5 wt%. The glass transformation temperature T-g and glass crystalliza
tion temperature T-c were recorded. From the variation of the heating
rate the glass transition activation energy and the crystallization ac
tivation energy were calculated by different methods.
